Low Back Pain in Middletown, DE

Don't Let Your Back Bench Your Season

Low back pain rarely comes from one bad rep. It's usually the result of movement patterns, training load, or mobility limits that built up over time. We assess what's actually going on before we ever build a plan, so the fix targets the source instead of just the symptom.

Rest and Ice Won't Fix What's Actually Driving Your Back Pain

Passive Rest Doesn't Address the Cause

Taking time off can quiet symptoms for a while, but the movement patterns and load issues that caused the pain are still there when you go back to training. That's how the same back pain keeps returning.

Generic Stretches Miss What's Actually Tight or Weak

A one-size-fits-all stretching routine doesn't account for your specific mobility limits, strength deficits, or training demands. Without an assessment, you're guessing at what your body actually needs.

Waiting It Out Costs You Training Time

Low back pain that lingers tends to change how you move everywhere else, which can create new problems in the hips, hamstrings, or shoulders. Addressing it early keeps one issue from becoming three.

I’ve worked with Brad for just over a year now. Brad worked with me to understand where I needed help, listened and responded well, and supported me through athletic training, rather than telling me to avoid it. I’m healthier and stronger because of the help I’ve gotten from Brad. Highly recommend!

Brad is extremely knowledgeable in his field. Very professional and easy to talk to. I was having severe shoulder pain and within a few sessions I was on the right track. The best part was I could continue my workouts and not just "rest" like all other PT I have been through. A very laid back atmosphere and detailed, specific program for each and every client. Give Brad a try, you won't be disappointed!

Frequently Asked Questions

Have questions about low back pain care? Here's what clients ask us most.

Do I need imaging before starting?

Not necessarily. Many clients come to us wondering if an X-ray or MRI is required first. Our goal is to understand what's driving your pain through a thorough movement assessment and build a plan from there. We'll always refer out if imaging is warranted.

Can I keep training while this gets addressed?

In most cases, yes. We build your plan around modifying training rather than stopping it completely, so you stay active while we address what's driving the pain.

How long does back pain usually take to improve?

It depends on what's driving it, but many clients notice meaningful improvement within a few weeks of focused, weekly sessions. After your evaluation, we'll walk you through a realistic timeline for your specific situation.

Is this just stretching and rest?

No. We combine a full movement assessment with hands-on treatment when appropriate and a training plan built around your specific limitations, not a generic stretching handout.

Do you accept insurance for back pain treatment?

We are an out-of-network provider and do not bill insurance directly. We accept cash, credit, debit, and HSA/FSA funds, and can provide a superbill for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Reimbursement isn't guaranteed and depends on your plan.
