Performance Training in Middletown, DE
Train Harder. Move Smarter. Go Further.
You don't need an injury to train with intent. Performance training at Top Tier is built for athletes who want measurable results, evidence-based programming, and a coach who takes their development seriously.

Without the Right Programming, You're Leaving Gains on the Table
You've Hit a Ceiling Without Knowing Why
Grinding harder with the same approach won't get you past a plateau. Without identifying what's holding you back, progress stalls no matter how much effort you put in.
Generic Gym Programming Doesn't Account for Your History
Off-the-shelf programs don't factor in movement patterns, injury history, or individual mechanics. That's how overuse injuries develop, and how athletes end up taking unplanned time off.
Finishing PT Doesn't Mean You're Done Building
Finishing rehab is the starting line, not the finish line. The gap between cleared and actually ready is where most athletes get re-injured. Structured performance training bridges that gap.
What Sets Top Tier Performance Training Apart
Knute Brewer holds a master's degree in Strength and Conditioning, a CSCS certification, and brings over 10,000 hours of hands-on coaching experience to every session. This isn't general fitness. It's performance development with the credentials to back it up.

Frequently Asked Questions
Have questions? Here is what athletes ask most about performance training.
Is this just personal training?
No. Performance training at Top Tier is led by Knute Brewer, who holds a master's degree in Strength and Conditioning and a CSCS certification, with over 10,000 hours of hands-on coaching experience. The programming is evidence-based, periodized around your goals, and delivered in a PT-informed environment where movement quality and injury risk are always considered.
Do I need to have been a client at the clinic to join?
No. Performance training is open to athletes and active adults regardless of injury history. If you haven't been through PT with us, we'll do an initial consultation to understand where you're starting from and what you're working toward.
What training methods are used?
Programming at Top Tier includes strength training, Olympic lifting, plyometrics, speed and agility work, cardiovascular endurance training, balance and stability work, and core development. The mix depends on your goals, your current capacity, and the demands of your sport or activity.
Is training available in a group format?
Yes. We currently offer seasonal small-group training for athletes on a limited basis. These groups combine structured programming with the energy of a group setting, while keeping spots limited to maintain a high-quality experience for everyone involved.
